Bacho Kiro cave, Veliko Tarnovo

Bacho Kiro cave is located in the region of Dryanovo Monastery (south-west of town of Dryanovo), in the picturesque canyon of Andaka river and Dryanovska river, about 25 km from Veliko Turnovo. The cave is first electrified cave in Bulgaria (1964).

Bacho Kiro cave is a complicated, four storey labyrinth of galleries and branches around 3600 m long. The electrified part, suitable for tourists, is about 700 m long. The cave is open for visitors all year round and there are guides who take care for the visitors. 

1962 the cave was officially declared a natural site and one of the 100 National Tourist Sites.
